Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications of Mozambique

Infraestruturas de Portugal Group, through IP Engenharia, and with the support of IP Telecom, organized between July 29 and August 2 a benchmarking session, with a view to sharing the IP Group's experience in communications interconnection with transportation, asset management and process management.

Ludovina Bernardo, National Communications Director of the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) led the delegation also composed by Jaqueline Pateguane, Advisor to the Minister of Transport and Communications, and Mércia Macamo, Director of the National Institute of Communications of Mozambique (INCM).

The delegation was welcomed by IP President António Laranjo, who recalled the historical relationship of cooperation between institutions in Portugal and Mozambique in the area of infrastructure management, and the growing importance of the sector in the economy of the countries.

This session took place at a time when IP Engenharia, in partnership with China Tiesiju Civil Engineering, is developing Technical Assistance to the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Mozambique, which aims to support the improvement of the overall operation of the MTC, focusing on Planning - Strategic, Tactical and Operational.

Throughout the working week the delegation was able to learn in detail how the IP Group structures the areas on which the session focused, complementing the presentations with technical visits, which greatly contributed to the healthy sharing of experiences and knowledge.

The visit of this delegation is a result of the good institutional relations between Portugal and Mozambique, with particular relevance in the transport infrastructure sector.
